NEP2020

According to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India, the age criteria for admission to different classes are structured as part of the foundational, preparatory, middle, and secondary stages of schooling. Here’s a general breakdown:

Foundational Stage (5 Years)

  1. Pre-school/Anganwadi (3 Years): For children aged 3 to 6 years.
  2. Grade 1: For children aged 6 years.

Preparatory Stage (3 Years)

  1. Grade 2: For children aged 7 years.
  2. Grade 3: For children aged 8 years.
  3. Grade 4: For children aged 9 years.

Middle Stage (3 Years)

  1. Grade 5: For children aged 10 years.
  2. Grade 6: For children aged 11 years.
  3. Grade 7: For children aged 12 years.

Secondary Stage (4 Years)

  1. Grade 8: For children aged 13 years.
  2. Grade 9: For children aged 14 years.
  3. Grade 10: For children aged 15 years.
  4. Grade 11: For children aged 16 years.
  5. Grade 12: For children aged 17 years.

Admission Procedure at MKD Public School

  1. Registration: Interested candidates must fill out the registration form available at the school office or on the school website.
  2. Eligibility Check: Age and educational eligibility criteria are verified as per the class applied for.
  3. Entrance Test/Interactive Session: Registered applicants will participate in an entrance test or an interactive session to assess their readiness and compatibility with the school’s academic environment.
  4. Admission Decision: Based on the performance in the entrance test/interactive session and document verification, admission may be granted or declined.
  5. Fee Submission: Upon confirmation of admission, parents are required to complete the fee payment process to secure the seat.
  6. Document Submission: Necessary documents such as birth certificate, transfer certificate (if applicable), and previous academic records must be submitted.
  7. Orientation: New students and parents will be invited for an orientation session to familiarize them with the school’s environment, policies, and expectations.
